Emily Rose Archer is a multidisciplinary visual artist based in Old Lyme, CT — a town whose deep artistic legacy feels like a natural home for her practice. Rooted in classical figurative drawing and painting from life, her work draws inspiration from the Renaissance and the rich visual traditions of the nineteenth century, channeling their reverence for the human form into a contemporary context.
Her creative life extends beyond the canvas. As a tattoo artist, Emily translates her mastery of figure and line into work that lives on the body itself — intimate, permanent, and deeply personal. She also works as a model, an experience that has sharpened her understanding of form, light, and what it means to be seen, informing her work on both sides of the artistic exchange.
